a table for two.....

we never get away for the weekend much.... so when friend (& super hot-stuff photographer) anitra & her hubby, ben, invited wally&i 2stay @ their holiday house in point leo we jumped @ the chance! we had bean working on doing a location test set on the beach for a while & thought we'd kill two birds with one stone. i took a couple of happy snaps & behind the scene shots mainly 2try & work out how 2use my new camera before i head o/s in a few weeks!! eeekk....

raspberry & pistachio friands

gday everyone :) i was going through some of my shots the other day & notice that nicky & i shot this a few weeks ago but for some reason i forgot to post it up on here? silly woman... this is one of my favourite recipes for friands as they always turn out so light and delish! the secret is to use fresh raspberries! ;p below is the recipe for you... 

raspberry & pistachio friands

method:

3/4 cup almond meal
1/4 cup finely ground pistachios
1 2/3 cups icing sugar, sifted
3/4 cup plain flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder, sifted
5 eggwhites
125g butter, melted
200g fresh raspberries (but you can also use frozen ones!)
2 tablespoons finely chopped pistachios, extra

Preheat oven to 180C. Place the almond meal, ground pistachios, icing sugar, flour, baking powder, eggwhites and butter in a bowl and whisk until combined. Fold through the raspberries and spoon the mixture into 12 x 1/2-cup capacity lightly greased rectangular tins or muffin tins. Sprinkle with the chopped pistachios and bake for 20–25 minutes or until the friands are golden and cooked through. Using a palette knife, loosen the edges and remove the friands from the tins immediately. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving. Makes 12

another day... another shoot.
this one i called 'table me pretty' as that's exactly what it is...
its got a kinda danish type vibe about it. earthy, clean cut but not too minimal. this was shot by the wonderfully talented anitra keogh :)

anitra & i have another shoot coming up kinda along the same lines as this but shot on location @ a beach somewhere. im so super excited about it! cant wait to show you :)

macadamia cookies 2ways

ive bean doing a little baking recently in some vain hope of getting into shape before jet setting to europe in a few months. a little confused? baking cookies & getting into shape? huh? huh? the secret is all the sweet treats go straight to my better half & are consumed before i even get a chance to taste them...!! skinny heaven.....

these shots were done with the left overs ;p

and option2: for those more incline to the darkness ;p

ha! i couldnt help but giggle a little when coming up with a post title for this shoot. its another rather dark/moody (even macabre) styled shoot from us again?! very cuenca&schuch(ish) & somewhat manly. man meat....

the death of her 20's

she was born in 1982 and was mourning the 'death of her 20's'... so very dramatic! so very 'toots'!! 2celebrate her 30th we were all invited 2play some croquet @ the elwood croquet club in 1982 dress up. here are some of the shots.

the new still life

ive only just realised how much i love 2style still life. i guess it started a long time ago with me re-arranging my bedroom as a kid so that everything was placed in its 'perfect' spot. who knows?
what i do know is that im a collector of beautiful things (or @ least they're beautiful 2me) & i adore that with the help of some amazing friends i can capture them in all their glory :)
